DEBORAH DAVIS is a gifted singer and consummate performer that has captivated audiences throughout the world. A jazz vocalist fused with Texas blues, gospel, and soul, she has performed with legendary jazz greats, RAY BROWN, LIONEL HAMPTON, CLARK TERRY, and a rare opportunity to substitute for ABBEY LINCOLN. FREDDIE HUBBARD, ART BLAKEY, LOU DONALDSON and HAROLD MAYBURN have all shared their stages with Deborah inviting her to sing.

Deborah has led her own bands featuring many of New York’s younger jazz lion’s such as DELFEAYO MARSALIS, BENNY GREEN, CYRUS CHESTNUT, GERALD CLAYTON, CHRISTIAN McBRIDE, PETER WASHINGTON, RUSSELL MALONE, JEFF WATTS, GREG HUTCHINSON, BRIAN BLADE, EVAN SHERMAN, and to many others to name.

MICHAEL VEERAPEN is well-known in the Malaysian Jazz scene – having established his name as a Jazz pianist, producer, record studio head and mentor.

No Black Tie (NBT), Kuala Lumpur’s premier venue for live music, has been the showcase for renowned and emerging musicians alike. It has seen the likes of Malaysia’s top singers and musicians and the region’s best, not excluding an impressive line-up of international acts. With the multitude of artistes that grace its stage, NBT has been pivotal in supporting and encouraging collaboration between Malaysian musicians and international artistes.

NBT’s aim is to produce unique sounds that typically result from spontaneous improvisations by performers from diverse backgrounds. Uncompromising in its acoustics and sound quality, NBT seeks to leave an impression with the audience in an intimate setting. NBT sees this as playing a role in contributing to the diversity of Kuala Lumpur’s arts and cultural landscape.
